29 2:00 pm Event: Couch to 5K Location: TRH Education Classroom Description: Richard Phillips, TRH Staff Development Coordinator and Pat Watson, RN, Certified Health Coach, will discuss how choosing to participate in a 5 kilometer (3.1 miles) is a fun way to target your walk to an organized outcome. Couch to 5K is designed to provide information to a person who wants to enter a 5K event. Walking and running is a healthy way for cardiac exercise, weight control, and improved lung function. Indirectly, walking and running can lead to better muscle tone, positive stress release and social interaction. |
