In addition, we offer advanced laparoscopy procedures as well as lithotripsy, laser treatments, and endoscopy. Pre and post-operative care are provided by our highly-qualified staff on the first floor of the Surgical Center as well as preadmission testing (lab, x-rays).

Our Surgical Center consists of 5 Operating Suites, 2 Endoscopy Suites and 1 Urological Cystoscopy Suite. During your Surgical visit, specialized Surgical Care is provided by various certified, highly trained, and skilled Surgical First Assists, Registered Nurses, Surgical Scrub Technicians and Patient Care Technicians. Our Anesthesia team is comprised of Anesthesiologists and multiple Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists.

Robotic Surgery

The DaVinci Robotic Surgical System helps enable your surgeon to perform minimally invasive surgery with an advanced set of instruments and a 3D high-definition view of the surgical area. The DaVinci system translates your surgeon's hand movements at the console in real time, bending and rotating the instruments while performing the procedure. The tiny wristed instruments move like a human hand, but with a greater range of motion. The instrument size makes it possible for surgeons to operate through one or a few small incisions.

Pre-Operative, Intra-Operative, and Post-Operative care are provided by our highly qualified Surgical team and Anesthesia team. The Surgical and Anesthesia teams take pride in providing outstanding care to the patients of our community.

The Taylor Regional Surgical Center is located behind the Emergency Room and provides parking that is easily accessible to the building.

What to Expect:

A preadmission nurse will conduct a pre-operative interview to obtain your medical history and answer any questions you may have prior to your surgery/procedure. Anesthesia services are provided by anesthesiologist and certified registered nurse anesthetists (CRNA's) through Taylor County Anesthesia Services.

Registered Nurse First Assists (RNFA's) assist our surgeons as well as our team of other nationally-certified registered nurses and surgical technicians.

Surgical Services works closely with both the Pathology and Radiology departments to perform treatments and obtain diagnostic results. Plans for cancer treatments are defined and resulted to assist the surgeon in carrying out treatments for the patient.

Our Level 3 Trauma Center is supported by the Surgical Services Department in treating patients; on call teams are available 24 hours/7 days a week.
