Location: 1862 Old Lebanon Road, Hearthside Professional Center beside Taylor Regional Hospital, Kentucky
Schedule: Full time position

Position Summary:
The Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) – Neurology provides comprehensive, patient-centered care to individuals with acute and chronic neurological disorders. Working collaboratively with neurologists and the interdisciplinary healthcare team, the APRN performs assessments, diagnoses conditions, develops treatment plans, orders and interprets diagnostic tests, prescribes medications, and provides education to patients and families. The APRN promotes quality outcomes while ensuring compliance with all regulatory and organizational standards.

Key Responsibilities

◉ Obtain comprehensive medical histories and perform neurological physical examinations.
◉ Assess, diagnose, and manage patients with neurological disorders in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
◉ Order, perform, and interpret appropriate diagnostic and laboratory tests.
◉ Communicates effectively with patients, families, and other team members.
◉ Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
◉ Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
◉ Collaborate with neurologists, primary care providers, therapists, nurses, and other specialists to coordinate patient care.
◉ Educate patients and families regarding neurological conditions, medications, treatment options, disease prevention, and lifestyle modifications.
◉ Prescribe medications and therapeutic interventions within the APRN scope of practice and state regulations.

What We’re Looking For:

➤ Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited APRN program.
➤ Current Kentucky APRN license (or eligibility).
➤ Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
➤ A minimum of 1-2 years of APRN experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified above is preferred.
