Position: 🍽 🍳 Diet Clerk/ Cook 🍳 🍽
Location: Cafe at Taylor Regional Hospital
Schedule: Full-time | Weekend Rotation required

📋Day-to-Day Responsibilities

◉ Prepare and cook meals according to standardized recipes, menus, and prescribed dietary guidelines.
◉ Maintain accurate patient diet records, process diet orders, and update menus as needed.
◉ Visit patients to assist with meal selections and identify food preferences.
◉ Coordinate patient meal trays, ensuring accuracy, quality, and compliance with dietary restrictions.
◉ Assist with tray line operations, food preparation, and meal delivery.
◉ Monitor food temperatures, cooking times, and safe food handling practices in accordance with HACCP guidelines.
◉ Maintain clean and sanitary food preparation areas, equipment, and utensils.
◉ Assist with opening and closing the department and coordinating daily operations in the absence of supervisory staff.
◉ Provide courteous customer service, answer departmental calls, and address questions or concerns.
◉ Perform cashier duties, balance daily receipts, and prepare deposits and sales reports as assigned.

🎓Education and Experience:

➤ High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
➤ 2-3 yrs experience as a cook preferred

➤ Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling practices.
➤ Dependable, organized, and detail-oriented.
