Position: 📑 ⏱ Prior Authorization Clerk ⏱ 📑
Location: Within the Medical Group offices at Taylor Regional Hospital, Kentucky
Schedule: Full Time position- Day Shift

What You’ll Do:

◉ Obtain prior authorizations for outpatient and inpatient procedures, imaging, surgeries, therapies, medications, and other services as required.
◉ Daily serves as front line patient contact. Handles scheduling, managing multi-line phone system, check-in patient process, and daily maintains of filing of patient medical records.
◉ Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits.
◉ Ensure compliance with HIPAA and all federal, state, and organizational policies.
◉ Filing medical reports in charts timely, reviews and prints dictation, accurately enters patient demographics, insurance information timely and accurately.
◉ Communicate authorization approvals, denials, or additional documentation requests to providers and appropriate departments.
◉ Monitor authorization status and follow up with insurance companies as needed.
◉ Assist with appeals or reconsideration requests for denied authorizations when appropriate.

What We’re Looking For:

➤ High School Diploma or equivalent required
➤ 1-2+ yrs experience preferred
