Position: Insurance Follow-up Clerk
Location: Business Office in the Jane Wheatley Medical Building at Taylor Regional Hospital
Schedule: Full time- Monday- Friday 8:00am-4:30pm

What You’ll Do:

◉ Verbal/ Written inquiries to reconcile patient accounts
◉ Exhibits strong clerical skills to expedite the billing process and maintain up to date records.
◉ Works with patients and their families in regard to bills and services acquired at Taylor Regional.
◉ Requires the ability to ensure insurance companies pay in a timely manner.
◉ Communicates effectively with patients, families, and other team members.
◉ Retains accurate knowledge of hospital policies, regulations, and standards of practice withing the billing office and anything that might coincide with the billing process.
◉ Follows HIPAA compliance.
◉ Files appeals for denials when necessary

What We’re Looking For:

➤High School Diploma Required.
➤1-2+ yrs of medical billing experience preferred.
